Nico documented his journey through the French Alps: a ride that turned into a visual report of what it means to travel by gravel across high mountains. Throughout the journey, Nico rode the TITICI REVO - a bike built to handle long distances, mixed terrain, and unpredictable conditions with the same consistency he expected from himself.
In the middle of summer, Nico and Rémy left Avignon in Provence heading for the French Alps with one clear goal: to ride as high as they could. The route followed a line from south to north, crossing different Alpine ranges on their gravel bikes. They pushed hard, testing both the bikes and themselves, moving from paved roads to gravel and rocky tracks, chasing the feeling of freedom that comes when the road ends and the mountain begins. The heat was intense, the climbs endless, the landscapes unreal. Most days started on smooth asphalt, moved onto gravel tracks, and often ended with the bikes on their shoulders, climbing to passes close to 3,000 meters.
That’s where the Alps show their real character: wild, quiet, powerful. Col du Parpaillon, Vallée de Névache, and Le Monal were some of the highlights: places that make sense only on a gravel bike.
After more than 900 kilometers, Nico and Rémy reached Lake Geneva, tired but stoked. Looking back at the route they’d covered, they carried with them that mix of humility and satisfaction that only the mountains can give.
The TITICI REVO accompanied Nico through every stage of the trip, from tarmac climbs to rocky mountain passes. Stable, solid, and responsive, it proved how much difference a reliable frame makes when the terrain and conditions constantly change.
